How does DonorDock handle existing contacts during a bulk import?

When you import a list, DonorDock uses composite contact matching, a combination of name and address, to see if a contact already exists. If it does, your existing record stays put. Any demographic fields that were empty on the existing contact (like phone, email, or address line 2) get filled in from the new file, so you keep your full history and gain the new details in one pass. Nothing is overwritten, and likely duplicates are flagged so you can review before merging.
