Subscribing to a better way of fundraising

Q: Is there a long-term contract when signing up for DonorDock?

A: There is no contract at all with DonorDock! We want to keep you using the product because it works well and provides value to your organization. If your needs change, or DonorDock isn’t meeting them, we want you to be able to have the freedom to find a product that does.

Q: What payment options are available for subscribers?

A: DonorDock uses an automated billing system and can be billed monthly or annually. When activating the product you can choose your billing option. You will be billed on the same day of each month if you choose monthly, or the same date the next year if you choose annually. You can view your billing history and change your credit card on file at anytime within DonorDock.

Q: We don’t have a credit card within our organization. Are there any other options for payment?

A: While we prefer our automated credit-card based billing, we do have the option of invoicing you. With the invoicing option we only invoice annually and your subscription will be activated upon receipt of your payment. You will automatically be invoiced the following year, unless you cancel prior to the renewal date. All invoices are due upon receipt.

Q: Am I limited to a certain number of contacts, or does my price change as I add more contacts?

A: No, at DonorDock we believe in simple pricing. We also would never create a disincentive for you to grow your organization. So, we encourage you to track your contacts and don’t worry about your pricing changing because of the size of your database.

Q: Does my cost go up based on how many team members I have?

A: Again, simple pricing is our goal. We have three levels of pricing that covers different numbers of users. There is no per-user-per-month pricing.

Your Data

They are your donors -- not ours. It’s your data, your decision. Leave anytime and easily export all your information (many systems have a hidden charge that can be up to $2,000 to take your data.

Q: Who owns my data?

A: You own your data! Every DonorDock customer’s data is stored in a separate database, so your data is never co-mingled with any other customer. We work hard to keep your data safe by encrypting the data and, we do our best to ensure you will not suffer any loss of data by performing daily backups and keeping them for seven days.

Q: Is my data secure in the cloud?

A: Yes, DonorDock uses best practices to ensure our application is secure. In addition, the cloud-based infrastructure is certified for all of the primary compliance certifications, such as PCI, SOC, ISO 27001 and HIPAA. That is a lot of acronyms, so suffice it to say, it is really secure.

Q: Does DonorDock have a mobile app?

A: DonorDock doesn’t have a native mobile app, but the application IS mobile-friendly. What this means is that the entire experience and functionality will work wonderfully in the web browser on your mobile device. While we may explore native mobile apps in the future, the current application in a mobile browser is a great option at this time.

Q: Is DonorDock a replacement for MailChimp?

A: DonorDock is first and foremost a donor database and fundraising CRM. The product does have capabilities to send bulk emails to groups of contacts (or personalized emails to individuals, or smaller groups of contacts), but is not a full marketing automation platform like MailChimp or Constant Contact. We have found that it fits the needs for many of our customers, but each organization’s needs are unique.

Q: What payment processors does DonorDock support for online giving?

A: Currently DonorDock supports Stripe and PayPal for online giving.

Q: Can I install DonorDock on my own server?

A: No, DonorDock is a modern cloud-based application that is a delivered as a Software-as-a-Service application. This means it can’t run anywhere except within our cloud infrastructure. Besides, who would want to have to maintain software on their own server in 2019 anyway? Let us handle the complexity for you, and you just enjoy the software!

A: Yes, we include product support in our subscriptions.

Q: What browsers can I use with DonorDock?

A: DonorDock runs in most modern desktop and mobile browsers including  Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, and more. DonorDock also works with most modern mobile web browsers.

Q: I forgot my password. How can I reset it?

A: On the login page for your organization you can click the Forgot Password link. Enter your email address and you will be sent a link to reset your password.
