End of Year Appeals Are Important

1 in 4 nonprofit organizations receive more than 25% of their entire yearly budget at the end of the year. With such a busy year, it's possible you still have not had enough opportunity to invite donors to give for the end of the year. To help you with this, we're dropping a couple of new templates to send these messages to your donors using DonorDock.

How to Use Your New Templates

Templates should appear alongside the rest of your templates in DonorDock. These Templates are fill in the blank. Just answer the questions built into the template to write an end of year appeal based on your solid fundraising strategy.

Your Email Templates for Nonprofit End of Year Giving

1. (Standard) Year End Appeal

This fill-in-the-blank template makes it easy to invite contacts to support you at year end.

When should it be sent?

This new email template can be sent out any time over the next week or two - the sooner the better.

Who should it be sent to?

You can send it to every Individual contact with a first name and an email address. To do this, create a contact new report, include only "individual" contacts, and filter the name and email columns to only include contacts that have both a name an email in your system. Or copy and modify a few targeted versions for different segments of contacts based on giving history or other activity.


2. (Standard) Year End Reminder

This fill-in-the-blank template helps encourage last-minute givers to give their support!

When should it be sent?

Consider sending this around December 28th. Pro-tip: use DonorDock's scheduling feature to set the send date in advance!

Who should it be sent to?

You can send it to contacts who are donors, are Individuals, and have a first name and email address in DonorDock. To do this, create a contact new report, include only "individual" contacts and Donors, and filter the name and email columns to only include contacts that have both a name an email in your system.
