What is Text-to-Donate?

Text-to-donate is one way to make donating to your organization easier.

This feature allows your donors to text you a keyword, and receive a custom automatic response text message from you, with a link to a donate page.

This keyword may be used at events and shared via email or mail communications to make it as easy as possible to donate to your organization.

To begin using Text-to-Donate, you will need to create a phone number.

How it works:

When someone sends a keyword text message to your DonorDock Number, DonorDock will automatically send back a reply with your giving page link and the automated reply message your giving page has set for the keyword.

If the contact who texts you is a DonorDock contact (the phone number sent from matches an existing contact in DonorDock), an activity will automatically be created for that contact's record for a Logged Text Message. These logged text messages are visible on that contact's profile in the activity and gifts timeline and may also be viewed in activity reports.
