Yes! When you sign up for DonorDock, you'll get access to a variety of in-person resources, written guides, and videos, as well as live support.  

We know you'll have a better experience and get more value from DonorDock when you're supported during the set-up process. DonorDock is designed to be intuitive and easy to use, and our customer success team will help guide you through the onboarding process.

Do you serve international customers?

Right now, we only offer support and services for customers based in North America. We plan to expand that in the future, so please reach out if you’re interested, and we can keep you up to date.

Do you have custom fields?

We don’t have custom fields per se. What we do have are badges on contacts and gift tags which are a flexible way for a nonprofit to customize DonorDock without the added complexity and maintenance that comes with true custom fields.

Do you offer event management?

We offer basic event tracking like ticket purchases. We also have native integrations to systems like Classy and OneCause to make sure our customers can get the best of breed for event management and the best of breed for CRM.

Do you support volunteer management?

We have basic tracking for volunteer hours and dates of service, built right into DonorDock. If you need a more robust software that includes scheduling, we integrate with platforms like VolunteerMatters.

Can DonorDock replace our email marketing tool, like MailChimp or Constant Contact?

For organizations seeking a simple way to send emails to their contacts, DonorDock is a perfect replacement. You can create, send and schedule bulk emails to marketing lists in DonorDock (as well as 1-to-1 emails to individuals). With automations, you are able to create drip campaigns that send to different segments of your donor base.

What if I’m not sure how many emails I need, or my needs change throughout the year?

We recommend starting with the Essentials plan, our most popular plan. If you need more than 10,000 emails per month you can upgrade to Professional at any time (or reach out to us if you need extra emails for a short period of time).

Am I limited to a certain number of contacts, or does my price change as I add more contacts?

No! Every plan offers UNLIMITED CONTACTS. Your cost won't grow over time as you add new contacts.

Do I have to sign a long-term contract?

No! You can cancel at any time (and export all your data!)  And you won't be charged any cancellation fees for anything beyond what you've already paid. It may be easy to cancel, but nobody does. (More than 99% of organizations renew their subscription each year.)

Can I cancel, upgrade or downgrade at any time?

Are the online giving pages compatible with our website?

Yes! DonorDock donation pages are compatible with any website. They can be embedded as "in page" forms on most websites!

Linking DonorDock giving pages to your website does not require special technical skills, and during your onboarding, we'll share resources and help to link Online Giving to your website easily.

Are there platform fees for gifts processed through DonorDock Online Giving?

Short answer, no!

We are committed to keeping DonorDock free for your nonprofit. DonorDock does not charge a platform fee for gifts received through Online Giving Pages. To be able to keep Giving Pages free of charge, your nonprofit can either select Donor Funded or TipBack™

Online Gifts are processed securely via PayPal or Stripe, and their normal credit card fees apply - (typically 2.2% + .30 cents for nonprofits)

What payment processors does DonorDock support for online giving?

DonorDock supports Stripe and PayPal for online giving with built-in integrations for both tools.

Online gifts processed through Square can also be accepted via a Zapier integration between DonorDock and Square.

How does the integration with Stripe and PayPal work?

DonorDock Online Giving pages has built-in connection with Stripe and PayPal to process online gifts. When you receive a gift through DonorDock, that donation will be reflected in your Stripe or PayPal account. It will also be tracked automatically in DonorDock.

During your onboarding, we can walk you through importing past gifts from Stripe or PayPal to ensure they're in your new system.

How do integrations work?

DonorDock has multiple native integrations with solutions such as OneCause, Classy, and Double the Donation.

You can also integrate 1,000s of other tools, apps, and software through our Zapier connector.

Zapier is an automation tool that connects different apps and services to save time and simplify workflows. It allows you to automate tasks without building an integration yourself. For example, it can automatically sync new contacts between DonorDock and your other tools.

What browsers can I use with DonorDock?

DonorDock runs in modern desktop and mobile browsers including Microsoft Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, Opera, and more. DonorDock also works with modern mobile web browsers.

Is DonorDock available on mobile devices?

Yes! You can easily access a mobile friendly version of DonorDock on iPhone and Android devices. No need to download an app, just visit donordock.com from any mobile device.

We don’t have a credit card within our organization. Are there any other options for payment?

We offer debit card, credit card, and ACH options for payment.

What payment methods do you accept?

DonorDock accepts all major credit and debit cards, and US-based bank accounts with ACH.

DonorDock uses an automated billing system and can be billed monthly or annually. When activating you can choose your billing option. You will be billed on the same day of each month if you choose monthly, or the same date the next year if you choose annually. You can view your billing history and change the credit or debit card on file at any time within DonorDock.

How does DonorDock work to reduce the risk of data loss?
  • All data is stored in a discreet cloud database. Each DonorDock customer has their own database, so there is no co-mingled of data.
  • DonorDock data centers maintain compliance certification for the PCI, HIPAA, SOC and FedRamp frameworks.
  • DonorDock employs redundancy in our cloud infrastructure to allow for maximum uptime. If the need arises, DonorDock does have the capability to roll our systems to another data center with minimal downtime.
  • DonorDock has established a disaster recovery plan to recover from various disaster scenarios.
  • DonorDock uses continuous point-in-time replication to a different data center. All backups are retained for a rolling seven days.
Will our data stored in DonorDock be private and safe?

We take security seriously at DonorDock. Our servers are hosted in a world-class data centers that are protected by 24-hour security. We’ve partnered with Microsoft to provide you with top notch enterprise level security all housed in the United States.

DonorDock is SOC2 TYPE2 Certified, a leading standard in data security.

On top of that, you own all of your data. We never sell your data.

What does DonorDock do to ensure application security?
  • DonorDock is SOC2 TYPE1 Certified, a third-party verification process and a leading standard in data security.
  • DonorDock is encrypted with TLS.
  • DonorDock requires HTTPS / TLS connections for all resources, including the CRM application and online giving pages.
  • All DonorDock applications are housed in a PCI, HIPAA, SOC and FedRamp compliant data centers.
  • Passwords are hashed and cannot be viewed by anyone, including DonorDock employees.
  • All changes to the software are peer code reviewed. In addition, DonorDock employs various QA practices for testing prior to deployment.
  • All giving pages leverage Captcha technology to stop fraudulent activity.

Will you import our data for us?

Because we value data security, we’ll help you through the importing process, but we won’t do it for you. We equip you to be capable of importing your own data, so you’re able to import any future data.
