Before this particular session (which took place September 8th), our user group had voted to go over some best practices for Reporting and Analytics. However, this is something our DonorDock team wants to really put extra thought into and develop some content around.

There are a number of best practices we want to share when it comes to DonorDock, so we plan on putting together a series that will include data and analytics but will build on topics presented each week.

In the meantime, the session instead focused more on training how to find helpful resources, access support, and submit your ideas.

DonorDock 101

For all new users or even veterans who need a little brush up on the basics, there is a lot of good information in the DonorDock 101 series. There are 8 total videos that walk you through a recorded demo. The videos can be watched in order or as you need them. To see all 8 videos will take about 45 minutes and will help kick start whatever you need to do in DonorDock.

DonorDock EBook

Another resource for DonorDock, especially if you are at a stage where you want to do some more long-term planning or improvement of donor engagement is our Ebook. It is a free online book that is equipped with information on the importance of donor engagement and donor management and how it aligns with the needs of your organization.

The book discusses how you can identify your target market, The importance of keeping in touch with them and checking in on how to improve that experience. Whether that be through communicating with them through more or different channels and reaching out either on a 1:1 or 1:M basis.

(Click the Resources tab at the top of our website, and access the ebook from there!)

Knowledge Base

This is where we house anything and everything about DonorDock for helpful step-by-step instructions and video tutorials. It’s the first place you should look if you have a question about how to do something or if you are getting stuck in a task you are trying to complete.

You can access information in the Knowledge Base by clicking on the help button in DonorDock and inputting a couple key words to search.

Support

If you can’t find what you are looking for in the learning series or the knowledge base you can create a ticket directly in DonorDock. Within the same help area, you can click on “Still Need More Help?” This will open a ticket form that you will fill out.

We ask that you be as detailed as possible with the issues you are having and provide any screen shots or a video of the issue you are having so that we can quickly triage the issue and resolve it.

Feature UpVote

You can access Feature UpVote by visiting ideas.donordock.com. Otherwise you can access the board directly through DonorDock. Just click on your initials in the upper right hand corner and click on Request a Feature.

Once you have navigated to the board, search key words to see if your idea exists; or peruse the board to see if there are other ideas from your peers that you would love to see as an enhancement and give them an upvote. As features are upvoted, we use them to help prioritize our planning efforts.

If your idea is different from what currently exists on the board, go to Add a Suggestion, give us a headline of the feature in the title and all of the details on where it would live, how you envision it to work, etc. within the suggestion description.

Leave your information and hit submit. You will be notified of updates made to the suggestion, as others comment, upvote, and as it moves through the DonorDock project life cycle.

A new idea discussed in the call has now been added to the Feature UpVote board, Add a title column to contacts that are related to an employer.
